"If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place" - Eckhart Tolle

This quote, "If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place", is just what I needed to read and absorb.   It is so easy to get caught up in the running around and the chasing of external goals.  36 hours ago my phone said "Buh-bye" and was completely dead.  No warning.  Thus, yesterday I got to spend it six hours shuffling between the Apple store, Sprint store, and then back to the Apple Store. After an hour of bubbling annoyance, I decided to embrace the freedom of no phone.  It truly was such a blessing to just have the brain space to float free.    The white space offered time to be moved by details and situations that otherwise would have been mundane.  Strangers become intelligent, supportive, and interesting people who were the heroes of the day.   24 hours of digital detox cleared by head, brought back the abilities to notice small details, and reminded me of all that is pumping inside me.  The running and chasing is all futile if you can't notice how far you've come.   Meditation is my peace-keeper and my pace-maker.   It's my daily essential for recharge.  Deep breathing offers the gorgeous paradox of generating focus towards your goals but also compassionate detachment from the ups and downs of daily life.  Just writing this post has slowed my breath.   Thank you Universe for forcing me to take a break.
